Moving to the Country Has Been Unexpectedly Healing

In 2024 we finished building our home on our own land. It was a crazy long and arduous process that lasted way longer than we ever anticipated. It tested every last ounce of our patience but we did it! After all the ordeal of getting the land, permitting the build, getting the house built, installing the well and power etc, we finally got the much anticipated green light to move in. Our dream had suddenly become a reality... eeek!

Quite unexpectedly, moving was not as easy as I had originally hoped. There were so many fears ringing in my ears all of the sudden. I have never moved away from my home city before and all the sudden a lot of doubt about the move flooded into view.

Were we making the right decision? Were we going to be happy in a new place without any family close by? How would this affect the children?! Whoa, I was suddenly consumed by so many fears all at once!

😩 Panic began to set in but I reminded myself of my original why and I remembered how the Lord had opened every single door along the way. This is what kept the fears in check and I am so glad I didn't give into those fears.
