Parable of the Lost Sheep 🐑

Who were the Lost Sheep of Israel?

When Yeshua said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel” (Matthew 15:24), it might sound a little confusing at first, especially if you’re reading it as a parent trying to understand how His love includes everyone. But this moment isn’t about turning people away. It’s about where His mission began. Yeshua came first to restore Israel, just as the prophets said He would. His focus was on bringing back those who had wandered from the covenant. But that mission was never meant to stay small. It was always meant to grow and reach the nations. Like planting seeds in one part of the garden that eventually bloom and spread, His love and message were always meant for the whole world.

'He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” ' Matthew 15:23
